Hello! I am the Director of Instruction & Outreach and a Professor at the University of New Mexico University Libraries. I am also the library liaison to the Music and Performing Arts Departments. I have previously held the positions of Performing Arts & Digital Arts Librarian, Digital Initiatives Librarian, and Metadata Technician. My research focuses on data curation in the arts, and metadata to help find digital content. I earned my Master's degree in Library Science from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
I also hold a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Iowa. I studied with Tadeu Coelho, Marina Piccinini, and Mark Sparks. I attended the Aspen Music Festival and was the first place winner of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, which resulted in a performance of the Mozart Flute Concerto in G with the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. |
